Meet Mr. Carver

May 30, 2019

I look forward to working with you and the teachers and staff as a team to help every student at Crystal Lake Elementary meet their One Year’s Growth in One Year’s Time and have a successful school year!

Dear Parents and Guardians,

It is with great pride and excitement that I write this letter of introduction to you as the newly appointed Principal of Crystal Lake Elementary.  I am honored to have the opportunity to lead a school with such a rich tradition of education!  I have been dedicated to the field of education for more than 30 years.  I have worked with a variety of students' ranging in age from pre-school to fifth grade.  My administrative experiences include assistant principal of Wekiva Elementary and Red Bug Elementary. I have also been principal of Lawton Elementary and have been at Eastbrook Elementary for the past 9 years.  I am excited and eager to bring my skills as an educational leader to Crystal Lake Elementary School and work with you as a partner in education to ensure your child's success.

Along with the teachers and staff, I will work hard to continue the legacy of success established by Crystal Lake by building strong relationships with parents, students and community partners.  We will focus on the use of data to drive instruction, and provide consistent implementation of the curriculum.

This year is going to be amazing as we continue to provide academic experiences for our students that are rigorous and relevant, while helping them build meaningful relationships with others.   As your Principal, it is important to me that everyone who steps through our doors-teachers, students and parents-are excited to be here!  This attitude enables us to meet the challenges of academic excellence in a positive, fun, and nurturing environment.  My door will always be open and I welcome your input.  Please feel free to email me to discuss any concerns or questions you might have at ricky_carver@scps.k12.fl.us

I look forward to working with you and the teachers and staff as a team to help every student at Crystal Lake Elementary meet their One Year’s Growth in One Year’s Time and have a successful school year!

Sincerely,

Ricky Carver
