School Hours
7:50 a.m. - 2:10 p.m. (Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday)
7:50 a.m. - 1:10 p.m. (Wednesday)
Arrivals
Drop-off begins at 7:25 a.m. Adult supervision begins at this time. Please DO NOT drop off early.
All students will report to their assigned holding station in the morning, where they will sit with other students.
If you arrive after the 7:50 a.m. tardy bell, you must escort your child to the front office to sign them in for the school day. Parents may not walk their child to a holding area or classroom.
All car riders must be dropped off at the main entrance in front of the school. Students may not be dropped off on the bus ramp.
Cars dropping off students in the morning must remain in a single line in front of the school. Please do not form two lines until 7:20 a.m., this allows staff members to park safely for the day. Single lane (away from the flagpole) should start first. The second lane closest to the flagpole will open at 7:20 a.m.
Dismissal Procedures
Car rider dismissal: 2:10p.m. /1:10p.m. (Wed.) Walkers, bike and bus rider dismissal: 2:10pm. /1:10p.m. (Wed.)
Cars picking up students in the afternoon must remain in a single line in front of the school until 1:45pm. Please do not form two lines until 1:45pm, this allows visitors to leave the parking lot safely. When pulling up to the front of the school remain in a single file line to pick up your child. Pull all the way up to the end of the building. Do not pass the cars in the line.
Please refrain from picking up your child early, unless it is an emergency or for a medical appointment. If you must pick-up early, please make every effort to do so prior to 1:30 p.m. (12:30 p.m. on Wednesdays). If you must sign out your child early, please remember your security code. Without your code and/or driver’s license (same procedure for those that you have granted permission to pick up your child), we cannot release your child. Excessive early releases may negatively affect your child’s academic progress.
If your child is a car rider, please use the car line to pick up your child. Please do not park and take your child from the car line. If you have an emergency, you must still sign your child out in the front office. School personnel will not release your child to walk across the parking lot.
Walkers & Bike Riders
Bike racks are provided for bike riders. Bikes must be walked up to the school after crossing over at the crossing guard closest to the school. All bikes should be locked (CLES and SCPS is not responsible for lost or stolen bikes). All bike riders must wear a helmet.
If your child is a walker/bike rider, please ensure they have a backup plan for rainy day dismissal.
Visitors
All Dividends (volunteers) and Visitors must sign-in and out at the office on each visit. If you are here as a Dividend and want to go to lunch with your child, you must obtain a lunch sticker prior to entering the cafeteria.
